What to do on a cold and rainy night?
Go play Bingo, of course! And I won $25.00!
Free Range Chicken is at the Turnberry Marina in North Miami. I will post pictures when I receive them.

Geese
Normally seen in flocks of up to a hundred birds, these two have been hanging alone along the side of the road for weeks now. I'm thinking they must have a nest nearby.
FRC has arrived in Fort Lauderdale but got stuck on the mud bar in the middle of the channel at low tide. Pics tomorrow!

TSA Pre check
Haven't been out of the house since Monday and today was the last day to do TSA Pre Check at the little local airport with no lines, no waiting. I wanted to go and get it over with. Patti insisted that she'd drive since I'm on 1/4 pain killer a day..., we saw the same herd of elk from last Sunday.
20 minutes up to the airport, 5 minutes at TSA, 20 minutes back to home.
Sweet! No more taking off shoes or jackets off, laptop out, or the little plastic bags with 2.8 ounces of goop.
Free Range Chicken left Jamaica yesterday. Got shooed off the 5 mile radius of Gitmo Cuba and is headed up between Cuba and Haiti, motor sailing. That's all I know for now.

Pre & Post Bunion surgery
If anyone is thinking of having this done, this is what to expect...
Soft boot-like cast with a ton of gauze and cotton stuffing. When the pain killers wear off, it feels like a big toe broken in two places, which is exactly what it is. Green gauze was for St. Patrick's day.
4 1/2 months out is the last photo. Middle toes starting to straighten out. Range of motion is very good up, still working on the downward motion. Final judgement will be at the 6 month point. At least it doesn't hurt when shower water hits it anymore. (Just took my sock off so ignore the ankle marks)

I found this in the backyard A big pile of poop!
Holy cow! Contained fur and seeds among other things. What was it?
Looked it up in my "Animal Tracks and Signs" book and it appears to be from a big cat.
"Droppings that are not covered are normally 4-5 inches long and can be confused with those from coyotes, although constrictions in several places along its length are characteristic of bobcat dung. Scats may be broken into segments due to those constrictions."
I'm thinking a big Bobcat was out there. I need to reinstall the critter-cam and get the pistol ready. That was a human sized poop!
