Evidence of severe weather in Colorado

Tree down on the house!  I always thought that tree was way too big to be planted in a rock garden.  Now we know it to be true!  No damage inside the house and no windows broken.  Yikes!  What's next?

FLOAT TRIP!

Trout fishing float trip down the Gold Medal rated Roaring Fork River.  Getting ready to go on "FishBrain".  Bruce didn't get his feet wet all day and he got skunked!

Sharon got her feet wet and got three in the boat, one baby 3" Brown from shore casting and one that wiggled it's way off the line.

The following is her 17 inch Cutthroat.  We let her/him go to make new babies.
Along the way we saw a mating pair of Golden Eagles, tons of Canada geese and lots of baby Mallard ducks.

Space, peace and wildlife...That's all I ever asked for

This little guy/gal came wading across the river this morning and ended up in our backyard.  Earlier today I mentioned to Bruce that there were bear paw tracks on the deck.  Sure enough, at about 10:30pm I saw two little bear cubs not 5 yards from me peering out of the grasses.  Yikes!  Where was the Momma bear?    High tailed it into the house!!

4th of July in Colorado

Fireworks banned here so we made our own!
A cold wave moved through the state of Colorado bringing a little much needed rain and dropped the temperatures down into the 50's so we made a fire!
