Yes, we went to see Tony Bennett

At eighty-seven years old, his voice was good and strong.  He turns 88 in August and still going.

Not quite the "sing a long" artist that perform songs that we all know the words to, he did well.

At least we can say we say we saw him perform.

Grand Funk Railroad @ Snowmass free Thursday concert

They played "I'm your Captain...., I'm your Captain...., and I'm feeling kinda sick".  We all sang along.  They played for 90 minutes.  In the middle of the concert, a 50ish something female hippie walked by and pulled down her top.  Did a little split second massage of her nipples, pulled her top back up and walked on by. Good times.
Only in Colorado.....Don't think I'll have any problem getting Bruce back up for Thursdays concerts.  We may be in our sixties but the fun doesn't have to end.  AND...he can hear the music!
And while the signs all said "No smoking" weed was detected in the air.

Proof that she's still floating

Annapolis,  Maryland.
Side tied to the dock next our previous crew, Diana and Hubs' Atlantic crossing boat Brizo (blue hauled)  that did the ARC, then continued on to Australia last year.  Small world.

Our day on Reudi

Mussel check before launch.  Mussels are a huge problem with people bringing their boats in from other areas.  The Forest Service has to inspect each boat before launch.
Thought we might be skunked by the weather but turned out to be a beautiful day on the lake.  Sailboats having a hard time running their race as there wasn't any wind.

Still some snow on the higher mountains.
Too scary fast for Bruce!

Thanks to Rich and Patti for a lovely day and lunch on the water!!!

Last of the Peonies

This variety is interesting when you look closely at the center.  There are actually more petals coming out of the center.  Maybe its a mutant?

Bird watching

We watched a goldfinch build this nest in the eaves for 2 weeks.  One morning we found it on the deck.  Was it a competing finch that knocked it out of it's secure place?  We'll never know.  It wasn't the wind.
Look at the detail of construction.  Large outer building material finalized with perfectly woven and placed inner layer.

Headwaters of the Frying Pan and Arkansas rivers watershed

Rip roaring runoff.
This is just a little stream by the end of the summer.

This sign made me laugh.  Is picnickers a word?
