Pumpkin time up the Frying Pan Road

 Every year somebody places hundreds of pumpkins along the Frying Pan Road between our house Reudi Reservoir.

 There are two perched on the rocks.

I'll have them eating out of my hand in no time!

I was feeding them popcorn.
On second thought, turkeys do have very sharp beaks.

Bruce said there were about 20 of them or more.  Don't miss the one on the flagstone patio with his back turned.  I was out looking at homes with the master bedroom on the first floor.  Sooner or later one of us is going fall on the stairs!

Bermuda's highest lighthouse and made of cast iron back in the 1800's.  America's Cup logo in prep for duh, the American's Cup!  We could see the light at night from the boat in Hamilton.

Getting ready for Newport RI to Bermuda!

This will be the 50th anniversary for the Newport to Bermuda race starting June 17th which runs every other year.  It's 635 miles and our "into it" crew member estimates as of today 2 days and 17 hours to the finish line after the start.  Lots can change between now and then.
We have a transponder on board, just like Transpac and PacificCup so if you wish to follow our progress, just go to the Newport to Bermuda web page.  I'll post more info when I can provide a specific web address/locator.

Back on the pistol range

Dreary, rainy day, all by ourselves at the pistol range.  Nice.
Bruce left tonight for Tortola to launch FRC on Tuesday; I follow arriving on Friday.  Provision on Saturday and on our way to Charleston on Sunday.
Wish for fair seas and calm skies and a full moon.
Should be to Charleston by June 1st.
We have a crew of six peeps.
Bruce, myself, Patti, Chewy, Marcel and friend (yet to met).
