OPPS!!
This is our navigational screen on April 19th, 2011; the red line is the boat track, the green spots are land above sea level, the dotted outlines indicate shoals under the water. Bruce had the big idea to enter the inner reef off the north end of Grand Cayman using the old eye balling it method. As the screen shows, we hit shoal reef. Duh! What makes one think you can take an 8 1/2 foot draft sailboat somewhere that's clearly marked "obstruction"? Fortunately we weren't under sail and going very slow. I'll stick to the computer, thank you very much!.
